It'd be simpler if I just moved there. Dave found directions to your office on Thatcher street? Maybe we'll stop enroute - Thursday. There better be a couple cold ones in the fridge. Outta here. Pete, if I'm not there by the time you leave for the game, just leave directions on front door and I'll meet you there - outahere!!!! Fliegs. OH YEAHHHHHHH!!!!

Yo K-Bo, You're killin' me! You sent the database last night after 1:00 a.m. I'll take it that you were up until then working on it. Well, I'm in work today and have no way to do anything with it here. I'm packing and leaving tomorrow, so I'll do what I can - no guarrantees. Worst comes to worse, I'll bring markers and we'll have to hand write the name tags. Hope you had a safe ride up to Houlton. We'll be there, no later than two on Thursday. Later - Fliegs

I'll second that! I had a call from a friend who said he was very busy at work and although he asked for the time off in January and got it he thought he might spend the weekend catching up!! There is always work to do and it will be there when you get back on Monday! My poor children have been living in a dirty house for a month and my boss can't believe it's taken this long to draft a demand BUT I have organized this reunion and although I will miss a big baseball tournament for my oldest son - I owe it to myself to have some fun (besides I have to go, I have the checkbook!)!! I have all the Ricker Reunion stuff printed and packed. I'll pack my clothes and car tomorrow and off to the "end of the Earth"! Yie-ha! See ya in Houlton..............

Around the corner I have a friend, In this great city that has no end, Yet the days go by and weeks rush on, And before I know it, a year is gone. And I never see my old friends face, For life is a swift and terrible race, He knows I like him just as well, As in the days when I rang his bell. And he rang mine but we were younger then, And now we are busy, tired men. Tired of playing a foolish game, Tired of trying to make a name. "Tomorrow" I say! "I will call on Jim Just to show that I'm thinking of him." But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes, And distance between us grows and grows. Around the corner, yet miles away, "Here's a telegram sir," "Jim died today." And that's what we get and deserve in the end. Around the corner, a vanished friend. Remember to always say what you mean. Because when you decide that it is the right time it might be too late. Seize the day. Never have regrets. And most importantly, stay close to your friends and family, for they have helped make you the person that you are today. > > >

Greetings; I view the Ricker site two-three times a week and enjoy everyone’s comments. I wanted to add to Gene’s comments regarding Kim Bristol. Kim was also my roommate and fraternity brother in Sigma Delta Phi. We also went to high school together as I did with Earl Stout, one of the other five who was killed in that accident. I remember Kim and myself riding our Honda 160 cc motorcycles from New York to Ricker in September of 66 or 67, we had it all over the Hell’s Angels…I remember how that tragic accident impacted the facility and student body. Upon our return a candlelight service was held and our class president Bill Thurlow, spoke words which helped all of us begin the healing process. About a year ago I did have a visit with Kim’s parents. They are healthy. Mr. Bristol is ninety and just had a knee replacement in order to continue playing tennis! I will also be thinking of Kim, Earl, Skip, Pudgy, Barry and the others we have lost over the years. Even more of a reason to celebrate this coming weekend and remember friends, classmates and fraternity brothers. See ya this Friday at the TECH.

This is my final plea.................I have about 300 for Friday nights party and less then 200 PAID for the big event on Saturday's dinner dance. That is over 100 people that either can't make it on Saturday or BELIEVE they will make up their minds on Saturday whether or not they will go. THAT CAN NOT BE THE CASE! I promised the caterer 300 people and now have cut it down to 200... She's NOT going to do me any favors and whip up an extra 100 meals at the last minute! You are going to go Friday night and have so damn much fun and Saturday after the cookout you will have to grab a movie and wait till we all get back to the hotel to hear what a great time it was. If you don't reserve your place - - - you don't go! I don't know how else to say it. Allot of planning has gone into this, you can't decide at the last minute to show up. If you were under the impression you could pay at the door I am sorry. If you would like to attend Saturday's dinner dance please either e-mail me at the e-mail address listed or call me before Monday noon at 508-883-9425 and we can work something out! Thanks..

I started my diet today! ha I had delusions of a twenty pound loss, tummy tuck and face lift.........Oh well! I leave here in three days! Aahhhhhhhhhhhhh! I can't believe it's here. We are going to have large fun! My 12 year old son wants to come with me [I think he's afraid I won't come back]. He helped me mail 1,500 flyers 2X - I guess he's earned an honorary Rickerite standing. Not sure he needs to witness "Ma" when she transforms into a party animal?? ha I would like to thank Donna Baietti for being our "Houlton connection"! She's been great as has Sean Dolomont! If you can you believe that Sean is running a top notch Golf Tourney on Saturday that Tiger Woods would be honored to play in! If you are not registered for golf and play at all I'd get in on this one! He has great prizes and gag gifts for winners, losers and anyone in between! I think my little Seanie has finally grown up... Totally psyched and can't wait to see you ALL (feel like I know you all already). Remember to register early at the Shiretown Poolside lounge! Fliegs, you will be glad to hear that the state of Maine is getting out of the booze bizness and most grocery stores, including Hannaford/Shop & Save are putting in aisles of all your favorites - I am not sure if Houlton has done this yet, but I would guess that Andy Marino surely has got that covered at Andy's IGA. And they are both open on Sundays and it happened a few years ago, but the County now sells beer, wine and I believe, hard liquor on Sundays. Ricker Once Ricker Twice Holy Jumping....I see the adrenaline is starting to swirl around with the thoughts of heading back to Houlton for everyone. What's this no Beach Ball??? Fliegs if you haven't been out to Montana or Wyoming you better get your beer mug polished up. I can not believe all of the small breweries I came across last month when I was out there. I thought of you and your quest to have a beer in each and everyone on your travels around the country. A true Rickerite if I ever met one. I am heading out around 4:00 AM on Thursday and will probably meet up with you in the Lobby of the Shiretown as usual. Ang do you have your drun sticks packed and ready to go? To all that stopped in Westport awhile back I am looking forward to catching up with all of you again. Are you grilling guys ready or what? Oh, Fliegs I am bringing you some of the Buzzards Bay Ale and Lager that you enjoyed so much at their PUB!!!! So to the rest of the gang, looking forward to seeing you all again. It has been quite a ride the last three years probably for all of us so kicking back and relaxing is just what we need. Marcia and Bob Lehmann I'll see you there. I lost you home email addresses and Jeff Warner the same happen for you. My computer at work crashed and all was lost. I am definitely ready to ROCK and Roll. Congratulations to Kimbo and all of the Reunion committee for organizing this so we can celebrate in style. Kimbo, I'll be ready to roll up my sleeves when I get there on Thursday. By this time next week, we should be at the Shiretown...OH YEAH! I wonder who'll be the first "Rickerite" we see (any bets?). Last time when I checked in, it was Debbe Henecke. Of course I didn't know it was her, cause we had never met. But all the same, for some reason, I just had this feeling it was her. That's the weird kind of stuff (read magic) that happens in Houlton. It's a great kind of weirdness - being in Houlton that is; I wish I could stay longer, but the "real world" beckons and kicking and screaming, we must all return... well maybe not you Sean... HaHa! I wonder how many of us went to college cause we didn't want to join the "real world" yet. Funny, now we go back to escape it! Next comes the serious strategy questions: What days are the state liquor stores open in Maine? Has the one in Houlton been restored (I recall there was some problem last time)? No beer on Sundays still (maybe in the next millenium)? Finally, What's the maxium safe driving speed for I95. I know you Massachusetts people will say 85-90, but in NJ that'll get pulled over and I don't want to start my weekend like that. Anybody driving up on Thursday AM, look for a dark green Integra with a Purple and Yellow Ricker pillow in the real window. That's me and Ang! Honk if you're going to Ricker! - Later Fliegs

Only one more week and soooo much yet to do! Looks like I’ll be leaving on Wednesday and cruisin’ up to Connecticut to pick up Pete Ang. Of course we’ll have to party some (cause it’s been about two years - some of you might recall the “Das Boot!” adventure at Horseneck Beach). Then at the crack of dawn we’ll be “Boltin’ for Houlton!” We ought to be pulling into the Shiretown around noon on Thursday. I’m smilin’ as I think of it. I have about 2 dozen requests for the list of attendees but other then cut and paste 200 some odd names I don't know how to do it?? So I guess you'll have to come and find out! Besides, I don't have the time to e-mail everyone and don't know if folks would have objections to having their names on this forum board?? I have had many people in the area that have registered for Friday night's party. If you don't live to far that is a great idea! Pay $5.00 and get a night out!

The music man is pumped, the bars are stocked and my bag is packed! Baby I'm ready to roll... I am receiving registrations daily (nobody ever said Ricker alumni were prompt) I spoke with the caterer and explained my dilema. She has agreed to extend the deadline until July 11th. If you have had a change of heart (or plans) you can still get in on the fun! Mike Rush saved our butts by getting "event insurance" at a great price in record time! Anyone that knows him, tell him thanks! Please e-mail myself or Tim Humphrey with any song requests. I would also like some input for our trivia contest?? Dave Berry (a/k/a Gomeo) has designed a beautiful t-shirt for our reunion and they will be on sale there. I am totally psyched and will be up there on Wednesday the 16th. Flieg's where are you kid? Tim says the band sounds great and are ready to rock. There is a cocktail area for all of you that prefer to chat rather then dance. I bought tiara's for a Queen of the reunion (and I am sad to say I never did get a registration from Ms. Jacobs!). I made sceptors (purple and gold!) for the reigning King(s)..... We are going to have such a blast I feel sorry for those of you that are not going to attend. I did hear from Joyce and she's going to work on Chuck? Houlton may be at the end of the Earth but it is truly "God's country" and worth every mile of the drive. Don't miss this P-A-R-T-Y!! Have been e-mailing Ellen Cotton. She has revived many memories for me about town and the residents. She and her dad will attend as well as many of our Professors. I can not find Sally Rooney though? Anyone know where she is? John Elliot - is she still in town? SEE YOU SOON!

Chuck...am waiting for you to show up at my post office window. Tonight my daughter and I saw a bunch of "classic" cars parked at a motel nearby. There was a little Nash Metropolitan, just like Linda Cunliffe's (only it was white). As we passed by the lineup of cars I pointed it out to my daughter, saying, "That's just like a car we used to ride around when I was in college!" She thought it was very amusing, and we both laughed. She will be leaving for Cambridge in September as she will be attending Lesley College. Curtis Appleyard has been trying to contact you. Who remembers these names from 1960-1962 at Ricker? Joe Ponte, Dennis Simkins, Bob Hurley (NJ), Reggie Rodriguez, (NY), Jim Weston (NJ) turned actor, Bob Korwatch, Frank Scalesse both of MA. Howie Weiss NY? Those were the days for sure. Pizza Palace, Al’s restaurant, sporting goods store on the corner, Snowball King and Queen, Lloyd Farnham, Jim Oser, both of ME. Mr Howard, Mr Rich, Dr Prohaska, Mr Ramsey (psychology). Who was that lady that taught Biology? Mrs. Howard? Thirty below zero each night for a month in 1960/61. The rec. center parking lot being blown out (snow) with a giant blower? The Sonics (music) with me as sole guitar player, remember the guy with the green Danelectro guitar, (me). We even got invited to Univ of MA folk festival. Left a trail of beer cans distributed from an early 50’s Ford enroute and back. Sometimes I can almost taste those days and would like to relive them. I have many happy memories and read with sad thoughts of the appearance of Ricker in bankruptcy court in Boston about 1980. It shared a fate of many an institution due to high interest rates and a recession that was the undoing of Jimmy Carter. I’ve often wondered about how many of my former classmates who went on the serve in Viet Nam, how many went on raise families and where they might be today. Life was more exciting then due to my youth and also life was way more less complicated. so, come on you children of the 50’s and 60’s where are you? Who still has their yearbook from 61 or 62? Hi Guys, It getting close to July 19th. I hope you are still ready to rock. The band I've got together for this reunion is called "Ricker Once, Ricker Twice...." Those of you in the 60's know the rest of the cheer. We do pretty much what you heard at the 2000 reunion. With the addition of my son,Travis, to the line up, I think you'll be pleased. If you guys have any requests out there, let me know we will try to get it together by reunion time. Kim, I must apologize. I changed my email address and forget to tell you. I'm bent over, give me a swift kick!!! Just wanted to touch bases with everyone and let you know that I'll be looking forward to entertaining my old and new friends from Ricker.

I JUST RECIEVED THIS FROM SARA OTIS.....I THINK WE CAN APPLY IT TO OLD COLLEGE BUDDIES TOO!? If you love someone, tell them. Don't be afraid to express yourself. Reach out and tell someone what they mean to you. Because when you decide that it is the right time it might be too late. Seize the day. Never have regrets. And most importantly, stay close to your friends and family, for they have helped make you the person that you are today. > > >

6 weeks!! Are you ready for this? I hope so........ I just need to send out my final plea. I had nearly 400 people tell me that they would be at the reunion come hell or high water BUT to dat I only have 200 registrations and even fewer checks. Two hundred is a good size reunion and I believe is a larger crowd then attended the 2000 reunion buT i KNOW THERE ARE AT LEAST ANOTHER 100 THAT ARE SITTING AND WAITING TILL THE LAST MINUTE! I have to give a head count by June 25th, if I do not have your money by then (unless you have made arrangements with me) then forgetaboutit!! I have Dr. William Abbott, President of Ricker College in the 70's, registered! WOW! I have been on the phone all morning lighting fires... I talked with Steve (Mack) McNamara, Tony Santo, Tom Sousa even Joe Mann is making the journey! I have the majority of registrations from folks from 1965 - 1970 so I think someone in that time frame is stirring the pot! I have had complaints that if I want to have a successful reunion I should include the RCI graduates? It is labeled "Ricker Reunion 2003" and is for everyone!! Anyone that graduated, anyone that attended, anyone that worked there in ANY capacity, anyone that knew someone that may have driven by the school!! Come one, come all! Some of my favorite people never took a class there but spent tons of time in the Student Union. Another note of interest comes from the Houlton Chamber of Commerce. They tell me that the old Ricker Library is now a private residence and is up for sale! Anyone want to buy the library? That would be wild! We should take up a collection and buy it. We can buy each building back, one by one!! That would be an awesome reunion!! SEND ME YOUR CHECKS!! Let's go!

The biggest single loss to the student body of Ricker was on Thanksgiving, 1967 when five students were killed on the Maine Turnpike in Gray on their way home. It was snowing at the time. Trying to remember the names I think...Kim Bristol, Robin Williams, Earl Stout, Natalie Leach, and I can't remember the last one. Even after all these years I still think about them every Thanksgiving. Such a waste of young potential.

Upon reading about another passing, I was reminded of a shock we all had in Spanish class, 1967-68. One of the girls in our class was coming back from one of the breaks and was killed when the car she was in hit a deer on the highway. The Spanish teacher used to call us all by our last name first. I was "Mansfield, Charles". Who was that guy and does anyone remember the girl's name who was killed? We were all really saddened by her sudden death. I can almost picture her; perhaps her name was Donna. She was well liked and quite vivacious. Any memories of this, folks?

Greetings to all. I have been checking in to see what is going on and who is keeping the board going. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again in July. I am heading out for Jackson Hole, WY on Sunday to complete a course I have been taking for the last 14 months. Taking a side trip to seek out Yogi Bear and pals and then on to the Grand Tetons and floating down a river somewhere in a raft along the way. I am not ready for White Water rafting yet. I know Rob, Tom, Pete, Kim, Bev, Linda, Bill and the rest of the gang would be right up there in the first raft. That might be a great idea for our next in between Reunion gathering. Oh well, I have two more assignments to complete before I fly out of Providence at 6:30 AM on Sunday. Haven't heard any recent update on how the plans are coming along. I know the Party Queen has it under control. Kim when I get back the 10th I shall contact you and volunteer in any way you need me. Come on folks, how is everyone doing rounding up all the old geezers for the Reunion??? Beach Ball where are you? Spring is doing its best to visit us in the Southeastern MA but so far it is only a tease here and there. Please someone sends us the SUN and less rain. Get your dancing shoes dusted off and lets Rock and Roll. Take care to all. Debbe

Jerry the Cat, Quazzi, Mounty, SB, Gabba and that's only one wing of Haskell. What ever happened to Mongo La Funk did he ever make it as a barber? Yo Rob, Your memory is pretty good! Yes my roommate was Nancy Kinkade. While you might have woken up in Haskell, I could've sworn you were staying in East with friends of yours. These friends had not gone to Ricker, but had come up to visit you while you had attended. No matter. What another blast from the past! Steve Mason. You know Steve and Nancy suprised me. I couldn't get over Mason being just down the road from us in Glassboro. I didn't get to go to Glassboro, I got a job and went to work, My records were never completed and the last i heard they were in boxes at Unity College. I spoke to an official there and he said I could come up and go thru the boxes. I worked in a number of jobs, then finally got my broadcasting lic. I worked for a small TV station out of Phila. WTGI 61. We were an international channel. Programs from Greece, India, Asia, Korea, Italy,(crazy for soccer itailians), and we were a Telemundo affiliate. also aired Religious programs. It seemed like everywhere I went after Ricker the place was in Chap. 7 or 11 of Bancruptcy. I was jinxed. But I was able to go back to school and am now a Cert. Paralegal/legal assistant. I worked in the court system for a while but it wasn't what I wanted. So now I work in the Mental Health field. I've been at this for 10 yrs. The money sucks, but I enjoy the people I take care of. I am attempting to open a small business on the side, and hope to have it up and running by Aug. I really sorry about how i spelled your name both times. I had surgery in Jan. and I've been confused ever since. I'm looking forward to seeing you at the reunion. I tried to get Nancy interested but I don't think she cared to go.

Dear Ms Warren, Perhaps we can dispense with the “formal” attire (since you’re 0 for 2) ; ) and slip into something more comfortable… like “Yo Kath, what’s happenin? I prefer ‘Rob’ ”. I remember trucking up to Ricker for that last Snowball weekend (the trip alone was one for the books – which would be a story for another time kiddies). Once we (my buddy George also made the trip) arrived the partying started and never really let up. Hence, you will have to forgive my lack of memory. However, I believe we crashed in Haskell. At least that’s where I woke up most mornings (all right afternoons), so I hope you’re not confusing me with someone else. I’ll take responsibility for my own “bad”, but not someone else’s. Did you or your roommate end up at Glassboro State with Steve Mason when the school closed? Whoa, I just had a flash (yeah it scares me too) - was Nancy’s last name “Kinkaid” or something like that? In any case, I hope you make it to Montana some day – as for me, I’m thinking Virginia. – Later Fliegs

Dear Mr. Fliegal, Yes we did meet. You came up for the last Snowball (or Homecoming) I believe. You guys camped out across the hall in one of the spare rooms in East Hall. I was one of the girls in the "Reid Hall Suite". I have been trying to move to Montana for the last 10yrs. I'm a tree lover you know. For the record, one of my relatives was killed at the battle of the Little Big-Horn. But even that doesn't frighten me. You may remember one of my roommates, Nancy? She was kinda dating Dean Ricciardi and she was known for her well endowelled breast. Please forgive any spelling errors, at the end of the day I'm almost brain dead. Please don't take anything I say to heart. Take care, Kathy

Dear Ms Warren, (Do I know you?) FYI it’s spelled – Fliegel. Where in the context of my last post did I imply, “A River Runs Through It” was filmed in Montana? I had no idea where it was filmed; I was just mentioning the fishing, that’s all. Since I guess you don’t know me, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt – I’m kidding with an old friend about the Montana climate. I have never been there, I’m sure it’s beautiful. It probably doesn’t attract too many New Jerseyians, which would make it appealing. ; ) I can only think of one other person who was ambushed worse than I, when dealing with Montana – Custer. I’ll just go lick to my wounds now – Later Fliegs :o

Sorry about the twitches Fliegs. Part of a River Runs Through It was filmed in MT on the Bitterroot River, only a short clip, most was in Idaho. The weather in the area of MT where we are moving to has winters similar to Mid to Southern PA. Only about two feet of snow a year. If you come out in July I promise not to wear the 44 mag, Okay? The winters are way milder than Maine. Could you believe it I have been clean and Sober for 24 years+. Not one drop. Call me sometime or send me your number and I will call you. Mr. Fliegal, just an FYI, "A river Runs Through It" was actually filmed in Idaho. Montana has three regions, the central part of the state being quite pleasant most of the year. In the higher elevations snow stays on the mt. tops pretty much all year round. It feels pretty good in the summer when the temp reaches the 90s to go the mt. and cool off. I was always encouraged by Mr. A" to share my knowledge with the rest of my fellow Rickerites.

Yo Steve, Fogetaboutit! Other than this constant involuntary twitch I've developed, I was hardly even affected, Ha Ha! So what's up with this Montana move? Did the Maine Wildlife Commission finally catch up with you and tell you you couldn't hunt moose with a .44 Magnum? What do figure? Grizzlies in the Big Sky country? "So tell me Grizz... do ya feel lucky? Go ahead bar, make my day!" From the looks of your email addy, you've calmed down to some nice peaceful fly-fishing. I supposed you're one of those Brad Pitt types from "A River Runs Through It" to float down stream while fighting with the big ones! (By the way, if you haven't seen that movie, it's got some awesome fishing footage - I highly recommend it!) Sounds like you're easing into the good life. That's excellent! I have to check a map to see what part of Montana that is, but my impression is more winter than Maine (if that is even possible)! I heard it doesn't snow... it glaciers! No, I don't think that's for me, but wouldn't mind visiting in late July - you know the week when everything has finally thawed out and just before the first snow of August?!?! It would be great to go back to visit and be part of the Ricker re-union in July, but I'll be in Peoria Illinois playing my banjo (doing an act) for the Fretted Instrument Guild Annual convention for 4 days. Nobody remembers me! My claim to fame was: my obituary was published in the Houlton Pioneer Times in March or April 1959. That I returned to school in the Fall driving a 1947 Cadillac hearse.. Just because I owed the school $300 and they were dunning me... After that I blended into the woodwork, well maybe not.. Who's left from the 1961 and 1962 graduating classes.. The real characters are all dead.. Chet Lang (guitar player magnificent), Dennis Harshaw (banjo), Doug Robertson (somewhere in Space), Jimmy Hathaway (somewhere in the Woods) , Dicky Ayotte (died in an airplane crash), Howie Stevens (dead in Fort Kent), Jon Fenlason (joined the circus and was never seen again), Jerry Ellis ( ?) Don Hemphill (?) Clancey Poole (Witness Protection program), The girls all went someplace.. We started the "WORD', an off campus newsletter that really was a gossip sheet that competed with the school so-called newspaper. Oh, there was so much trouble we got into: The Northland Hotel, Bob Smiths music & beverage stints. Gassy Garceleon is still working the streets and Highways. Chet's cousins ; the Simpsons (Earl, Gerral & Sterrel) and the Hall boys. There were so-many characters. Making beer in garbage cans at Ma Wrights Lodge.. There was so much fun then.. Based on the contributors that make up your guestbook, there's no-one who would remember me ... I went to the re-union in 95 with Dennis Harshaw and that was boring as we didn't see too many of the ghosts of 61 and 62.. Charley Heath remembered me then. But fewof the locals showed up for that gig . It was nice to see the folks who did show up. Well that's it for now ... Bill Moynihan out here in Chicagoland /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\

How can I forget the fact you were my frat “big brother” (I’m asking, “How?”, cause I still have nightmares!!!!) ; ) Yes you were the one that bestowed the pledge name “Fairy” on me and made me do the “Fairy Dance” adorned in my “Fairy Garb”. I remember walking into Art Smith’s English class in that ridiculous getup and sitting there taking notes as if nothing was out-of-the-ordinary. Right in the middle of his lecture, he starts cracking up and asks me to remove my “Fairy Hat” so he could continue with his class. I asked my son if he planned to join a frat and he said “No”. I said, “Good!” Besides the diversion from school work, and the countless times we tempted arrest, the only real value is that I learned the Greek alphabet which comes in handy for crossword puzzles… that’s about it. All in all, I pretty much deserved it, since I was wasted on rush night and shot my big mouth off requesting you as my big brother (all the other guys were scared to death of you … perhaps it was the .44 magnum that you liked to bandy about). That went right into the, “Be Careful What You Wish For “ folder. You turned out to be all right though and at least I had some good stories for my buddies back home. – Take care and good luck - Fliegs

Priscilla - yeah, we never expected anyone to admit they went to Ricker. The strangest experience for me was an appointment for a ear examination a year or so after I graduated. It turns out that the Doctor was also a Ricker graduate. I wish I had a picture of the look on his face. After the initial shock wore off, he started asking me questions about various people, including Eleanor Howard. Since then, it seems its many others who have reached some degree of success or prominence in various fields have admitted they went to Ricker. Ed

Hey, what about High Street Grocery?! And does anyone remember Belyea's Market? Tom Boulier brought me in there (to buy orange juice of course) and it was built like the fun house at a carnival or "the house that Jack built". All the floors were slanted and rickety. I also remember getting snowed in... in HOULTON! A rare event! Classes were cancelled on St. Patty's Day 1976 and we were all partying at someone's house by East Hall and taking turns walking to a local store for supplies. I guess the owner probably lived upstairs and decided to open. Isn't it sad how many of these memories are so "foggy"? Hey Lorie McD... where are you? Don't you have a computer yet?

50 CENTS a barrel?!?!? Holy smokes! You could park a volkswagon in one of those tipped side ways! It seems… I was misled. Good thing my sixth-sense kept me in bed! No wonder we find so many rocks in bags of Aroostook County taters ;) Yo K-Bo, it only takes one lush to ruin a good thing. I’m thinkin’ Tony had ulterior motives to have you behind the bar; obviously profits weren’t one of them. HaHa! From what I heard, it wasn’t the money that caused the “Three beers rule”, they just got tired of sweeping around you after you passed out! New subject: Here it is April 9th and I’m looking outside at a snow covered yard; how’s that story ‘bout global warming go? Maybe we should rethink the reunion activities… like a Saturday afternoon snowball fight outside of the commons. I just don’t know what month it is anymore. I was in the city for St. Patty’s Day and it was 70+ degrees. I still had the lining in my winter coat and was wearing a scarf. By the time I got to work (17 blocks) I had given all my clothes to the homeless! Of course by this point they were only accepting Bermuda shorts and Hawaiian shirts. – Later Fliegs

Fliegs, they still have those farm stands up in the County, where you stop, pick out what you want and put money in a little box!! Of course, we are still trusting. Where in the world did you get the idea that you could get $5. for a barrel of potatoes. The average price was 30 cents a barrel and it took a lot of those baskets and bending over to fill a barrel. I think today, the going rate is 50 cents a barrel. Remember Haffenreffer beer caps(they still have them today) by the third beer, you couldn't solve those puzzles and by the 6th, you couldn't read those puzzles.

You were supposed to buy Heiffinraffer (sp?) Private Stock for a good CHEAP time. To this day I can't even smell the stuff without my stomach turning. Potatoes I picked I only got 50 cents a barrel. Used to really get to me when I would make 3.50 for a full days work and someones grandmother would picked 80 barrels and stop only because it was getting dark. My back would take weeks to get back to normal. Bud was 1.50 a six pack at that store on High St. Can't remember the name. Age is sneaking up on me. Have a good reunion everyone.

You know Professor, I’m surprised they even took checks. It’s not that the good people of the northeast aren’t your basic down-to-earth trusting types, but they’re nobody’s fool either. If one of you jokers walked into my store and wanted to write a check for a six-pack, I’d have a good hardy laugh! What did a six-pack of Bud cost back then…$2.50? I guess this was a time without ATM’s (how did we ever survive?) Damn, now you got me thnking; I do remember going into Skehan’s with Brennan to buy beer. Barry would always drop names to get his checks cashed. I can hear him now…”Hey, hey (he’d chuckle) Mr. Skehan! Wha’s up? (I think he started that) How’s Jimmy?(or Where’s Jean been hidin' herself?)”. Sure enough Mr. Skehan would give a side ways look and then cash our checks. I can just imagine him (Mr. Skehan) that night at the dinner table. “Ya know Jimmy, I had a couple of your friends in the store today…Barry and Rob, I took their checks. You do know them don’ cha?” I can see Jimmy falling off his chair laughing, “Sure Dad, they’re friends of mine…but jeez… don’t take their checks!!” We used to plan to go pick potatoes (for what $5.00 a barrel), but I could never get up that early. Those guys would start at dawn and I was just getting in. I preferred walking up to the hospital and donating blood for $15 to $25 bucks a pop (not sure of the amount, but I think it was the latter cause you could only go once every 6 months or something like that). That job also featured the special bonus of getting ripped on a whole lot less beer. Ah the good old days of just doin’ enough to get by. Happy times in deed – later Fliegs ;)

Hi, my attempts at reviving my musical career(?) are starting to gain some momentum. A couple of weeks ago I put a new (yes, written in 2003 and not 1973) song, "Beer and Broken Hearts - Acc Mix", on mp3.com, and with a little help from a promo auction bid, the cost of which was less than 3 beers these days, it has managed to get up to 26th for Traditional Country. The song is basically inspired by a typical night at Currier's, for those who remember it. The whole thing is kind of neat, since the ranking puts it up there with some legendary artists in addition to the usual mp3.com types such as the "Dixie Dicks" or "Donna Kay Honey and the Cowpokers". This is also amazing, since I do not even own a cowboy hat. You can go directly to the song page by clicking on the link for this message. Ed Colton

I HAVE TO give headcounts to the caterer and people running the golf tournament! If you click over to the REUNION section of this site you may register online (but don't forget to forward a check)! Could anyone tell me how many graduated in the class of 1969? I'm guessing they are all registered! Some very good person seems to have made copies of our flyer and distributed it throughout that class! Please feel free to do that if it is possible that we don't have their address. The reunion seems years away as the temps here in New England is still in the teens and there is plenty of snow on the ground! The fact is that we have FOUR (4) months to go until the REUNION! Sara, the 1974-1975 Snowball weekend was Disney characters. I have slides that were taken that week, with the first place goiing to Haskell hall. They built a mickey mouse and the three pigs in the front of the dorm. i last saw the slides a couple of weeks ago. I'm working on having the slides printed into pictures. I learned to be a photographer under the hands of Tweety. She was the Yearbook editor in 1974. Of course those who were there remember I occupy the picture in the middle of the book. Kim, I mailed by check this morning. Is it worth spending 10 hours driving to Houlton? Yes! Even more so considering it took me 2 1/2 hours to drive 30 miles to work today, with 1 1/2 hours for the last 6 miles. Houlton has changed. When I graduated in '72 Rt. 95 was not a divided highway for the last 100 miles or so. US 1 north of Houlton is also wider. You're right about the internet making it easier to find people. I tried at various times to contact lost friends during the late 70's and 80's, and it wasn't easy. Believe me, it's worth the trip if just to see someone you lost touch with over 25 years ago. I recieved email from Howie Solomon last week. The last time I had seen or heard from him was 1970!

I have heard from TNix and he expressed a great deal of interest (maybe he is waiting to see what you do?.) Does Rich Kelly = Adirondackelly? I have heard from Steve O'Donell, Lloyd Cohen, Pat Settembrino, Duke Adams,Frank Lemanski,Diane Baily, Steve Downy, etc........ If you give me a clue as to what the magic word would be perhaps I could say it. Is Houlton as you left it? Nope! Changed allot, but it has the same laid back atmosphere. I find when I get up there that I am able to slip right back into my 18 year old mindset and the years just melt away. It is certainly not built up like a big city just changes here and there. It will be a huge shock to see the town square where the fire was. It feels like Houlton here in Blackstone, Mass! I have a Farmers porch on the front of my house and when I looked out Tuesday morning the snow was 1/2 way up covering my bedroom window! I had an overwhelming urge to jump out! Of course at my age I'd shatter into a million pieces (Oh, to be young again!) I have three strapping young sons that managed to shovel me out as I sat at my computer and scrolled back to 2001 in the Ricker Guestbook. I tried to e-mail anyone I don't have an address for in THE "Official" Ricker Database!! Also, many of the entries asked for long lost classmates. I cut and pasted as many names as I found. This morning I have spent another three hours on the computer white pages trying to find these people! WITH GREAT SUCCESS!! (I am happy to report). I am only one person though and I can't find them all. I could with ALL of you helping me??!! People ask me why I took on this monumental task to begin with? There are many reasons. It was the best time in my life, I need a vacation next summer, in the midst of a mid-life crisis, I love you people, I love planning parties and I am a little insane. The toughest part of the whole thing is not planning it, it's finding the people and getting ya'll to commit! I can't guarantee that anyone will be there but I am busting my hump so that everyone is notified. You all should be calling each other to stimulate interest. I only went to school for the last two years it was open so I have no knowledge of those that came before me (unless you send me names of those you are looking for or I research the website). I think that this will be an incredable reunion because of the aide of the internet in finding people. I was given a list of just 400 names by previous organizers and have nearly tripled the list in three months time! We had a very successful meeting here on Sunday afternoon. With the help of Dave Hamacher all the tasks were delegated to committee members! The only thing left for me to do is work on expanding the database.....PLEASE GIVE ME SOME HELP? Once we get this database together planning a reunion will be a piece of cake. Although I have to wonder IF anymore will be planned. As Mayor Ed noted.........the youngest Ricker graduates are mid-forties. Get your registration forms out with your checkbook and go nuts! Don't worry about who will or won't be there. E-mail me for #'s and addresses of those folks you'd most like to see and CALL THEM UP! There is no better motivator then a "blast-from-the-past"!!! It may be our LAST HURRAH!

Any chance of renting a bus for the trip from Kittery to Houlton on Friday and returning on Sunday? I recall leaving Houlton hungover, pit stop at the McDonald's in Bangor, near misses along 95 and not at full sensory awareness until Portland. Partying and snoozing would lighten the load both ways and start the festivities a few hours earlier. Go bulldogs and Sal the Barber..

Hi everyone well the reunion committee met yesterday at Kimbo's house everything seems to progressing. What I would like to ask all of you who plan on attending the reunion to please send in your application and check to Kimbo I understand that we all like to procrastinate but it is important that we have an accurate count as soon as possible to know where we stand. The reunion is just five months away. Sending in your application and check would really bring alot less stress to all of us on the committee. So if you plan on attending please take a few minutes to send in your check it would be greatly appreciated. Kimbo has really busted her butt on this and its looks like its going to be great I can't wait to see all you guys again.Well take care hope to hear from you all that your going to the reunion. Later, I have to go and shovel.

Dear Kimbo, Congratulations on the '03 reunion plans. It's a great tradition to come back to Houlton and celebrate the great years we spent at Ricker College. When our team organized the '95 reunion, going to Houlton was the core idea. We were welcomed and supported by the Town of Houlton, the Chamber of Commerce and especially the Ricker Alumni of Aroostock county. Since the last reunion that Fliegs and company put on, the word has spread and the connections have widened to where we could easily have over 1000 people with support from everyone who's been to the last two reunions. I mentioned some time last year that this is the 25th anniversay of Ricker's closing. The youngest Ricker grad is 45. We're just not going to have that many more opportunities to get this great group of people together and we should make this one a priority. I applaud your efforts and will do everything I can to get my friends up there in July. I know this guestbook can read like a private chatroom for a dozen people or so at times, but there are hundreds of people checking this out who don't post messages. I encourgae those people to contact Kim with your names and conacts from the past so she can take this gathering to the next level. You're well on your way Kim! See you in July.

Curtis, yes, I remember Houlton--it seemed that every day there was a fresh coat of snow! And the snowbanks were, indeed, high(er). Or maybe we were just young(er) and they SEEMED that way. I know what you mean about people "waiting" by their mailbox, as when I first was a career employee I was being taught to deliver a city route. One of the stops was an elderly complex. Trust me, they were all waiting in line, and especially on SS Day! Of course I was a "trainee" so I was always considerably later than the regular city carrier. When I walked in the door someone would always exclaim, "Oh, it's the GIRL!"...It's amazing how mailboxes can be totally snowed in...but on SS Day you can be sure you'll have a clean "approach" to the box. Man, I hope that's not what I have to look forward to down the road!

Joyce- doesn't all this snow remind you of the winters we spent at Ricker, when the snowbanks were higher? Also, people clear away the snow and fix their mailboxes when they want their checks. You can find some of these little old ladies, with a hammar, waiting by their mailboxes making sure I bring there social security checks.

Chuck, Yes, the driveway thing is a bit "much" this year. Guy had to come by and "push back" the snow...for an extra fee, of course...because there is so much of it this year! And as for mailboxes (Curtis), many have been demolished. One guy in town painted his mailbox hunter orange (and during hunting season, at that!) This guy is a NH Highway Dep't. worker, so he plows state roads in the area. When he came into my post office to mail something I (jokingly) asked if he was afraid someone might mistake his mailbox for a deer and shoot it during hunting season. "No, he replied, I'm just trying to keep it from getting hit by the snowplow this winter!" The IRONIC thing about this is that the very first snowstorm we had, his mailbox got wiped out by the driver of the "wing plow". He fixed his mailbox and the very NEXT storm we had, his mailbox got wiped out again! He has resigned himself to the fact his mailbox is staying broken until winter has ended, and has resorted to picking up his mail at the post office instead. Chuck doesn't have THESE problems...and doesn't have to deal with a weather forecast predicting well below zero degrees at night for the next week--one night it looks like about 23 BELOW ZERO! EEEEK...

They were at the gym not gum! Anyway - Thank you Angie and Sarah and everyone for your kind words. Organizing this reunion has been a labor of love! I was only at Ricker for a short time when they closed the doors on me. As I've said before, I to this day have dreams about the place. It was a coming of age, a new independence. I loved every minute I was there (except when Gomer dumped me but that’s a story for another day). We were a huge family - students and faculty alike. In fact, I feel a kinship with everyone I have met through organizing this reunion and attending others. When you think about it, it takes an adventurous person to attend college at the end of the Earth! Many only lasted a semester but those of us that stayed were a special breed. You either loved it or hated it. I keep getting e-mail from folks that attended in the 50's, 60's and even early 70’s saying because of entries in the guestbook and names on the committee list, that this is a seventies reunion…………..THAT JUST AIN’T SO! If I wanted to have a party for my classmates I could do that right here in Blackstone with considerably less aggravation and expense! I love to organize parties. I love Houlton and I love Ricker! I want you all to go! I am trying to have something for everyone. Someone wrote to me that they didn’t want to travel hundreds of miles to be the only Grandma… Guess what? People that graduated in the late seventies are Grandparents too! Granted a “reunion” is for re-uniting with old friends. So tell me who you want to see and work with me to find them. Don’t be embarrassed if you are married with 30 grandchildren and just want to sneak a peak at ole what’s-his-name again. I hesitate to put the names up on the site because I haven’t received half of what I expect. People love to procrastinate! KNOCK IT OFF! Just write the check, fill out the form and throw it in the mail – damn it! Let’s get finding people and stop sitting on the fence! There have to be hundreds I don’t have. It makes me crazy when people say, “I won’t know anyone there.” How do you know that unless you go!! And why do you expect that I would know who you want to see!! I can tell you this - I have talked with Ed Malloy, Donna Baietti, Rob Fliegel, Pat Settembrino, etc., all past organizers, none are real eager to organize another reunion!! It’s ALLOT OF WORK! This could very well be the last one…… I could get Bruce Springstien, The Beatles and Elvis but it still wouldn’t be a success unless we get the numbers. The Civic Center will hold about 1,500. I say we fill it!! Dale, if we do that we will make enough money to hold the next reunion at Disney! HELP ME?

I would love it if we had 19" on snow here in Mass! I think I may retire in Houlton (just depends where my husband goes-ha). The last year at Ricker (25 years ago) they closed both Reid and Ackerly Halls and stuck the Ackerly people in the bottom floor of Hasckal (sp?) and the Reid guys on 1st floor of Beast (East). Kathy Hill was an RA on the top floor and my partner in crime. One day the guys were at the gum for basketball and Kathy and I opened Owen Bierne, Tony Santo and Joe Hellyar's rooms and switched their beds and drawers around to each others rooms. They were trading stuff back in April, ha! When they came back to the dorm they somehow knew who did it...they tied our hands and feet together and threw us out the first floor windows into the snow drifts!! It was cold!! But fun.........

Hey Smokey and Mike.Did Tom McGee jump out of the girls dorm windows into snow or grass when he broke both his arms, I can't remember !?! I do remember a lot of jumping out of windows ! I was looking through old pictures this weekend. Do you all remember Snowball Weekend when the snow sculptures were done? I can't remember if it was the winter of 73-74 or 74-75, but I found some pictures this weekend and my boys were amazed at what was made. I think the theme was fairy tales or something like that. Sorry Kimbo but I couldn't part with any of them.Kimbo, I just made out my check and it will be in the mail tomorrow, for real !! Good Morning to all Ricker fans, from snow bound Aroostook county. Everything is cancelled and I'm stuck at home. We have about 19" of new snow on the ground and drifts like I haven't seen for years. The plow came about 4AM and it looks like nothing was accompished. This could get expensive at 25$ each drive through. Oh well if that's thats the only bad thing that happens around here I'll take it. Now about the reunion, I think we owe Kimbo a great big THANK YOU for all that she has done. I know there are others involved but she has probably contributed more than anyone in getting this thing off the ground. I also think she deserves a thank you from the town of Houlton and from the Chamber of Commerce. BTW did you know that the Chamber Director,Paula Genron, is the daughter of Mr Coolong who used to teach at Ricker. I was in touch with Ellen (Brown) Ross last week and she had no idea about the reunion or this site. There are so many out there who have no idea that Ricker lives. We need to spend more time net working. Here are some of the names I know around Maine,Ed Bonenfant, Butch Cannan, Al Condon, Ray Lamoreau, Cliff Foster, Gene Jackins. Some of these people are older from the early 60's and 50's. I will send Kimbo the addresses when I get them. If all of us come up with a few names this reunion could be the best ever. Keep up the good work! Angie

Hello Kimberly. I am not sure how you counted the “20”, but I counted 22 groups or 28 individuals. Actually it looks like John Lucy might be lurking in the Elliot party, so that would make 29. One cannot say enough for accuracy. Of course I’m a very good driver. I’d like to say I was planning on attending, but I see Thomas Sousa is going to be there and he always beat me up. One time he hit me 37 times; I counted each one. It is very important to be accurate. I have to go now; I think the shirts in my closet are not in the correct order. – Sincerely yours, Irving Winkleman

Oh-MY-Gosh! It’s only 174 more shopping days ‘til I start “Boltin’ for Houlton”. Boy I better hurry and get packed… Now where were we? Oh yeah, still need a place for the barbecue (don’t worry Bev I ain’t cooking, I’m pouring), how about out at the golf course. Do they have some kind’ve pavilion (in case of inclement weather), barbecue pits, and bathroom facilities. We’ll already have some gophers on the links, might as well consolidate the tribe. Of course, I’m still hoping we can use the Ole Campus. Some tunes cranked and a Frisbee or two and that might be real nostalgic… ya better throw that old Frisbee right to me cause I ain’t running for it! That’s whatcha got a dog fer. I got a nice Christmas call from my old roomie (he still has those pink pajamas… and you wonder why I got a single!). Anyway, he said he saw some ominous black smoke rising from the area of Sean’s camp. We warned him to play nice with the locals…hmmm. Hopefully, he’s just having a party (if it was my house, Bev would say I’m just cooking dinner…nah nah…sheesh, she’s such a brat). Still, she’s kind’ve cute so I’ll just let it ride. Speaking of cute, I got a great Christmas card from Lorie McDaniel. I gotta tell you - the front of the card had a picture of a stained glass window that I assumed was on a church or something. Turns out that’s HER art (6’X 9’ "Shepherd of the Hills")! It was awesome. Yeah, she’s gonna be there (at the reunion), maybe she'll have some pics. It’s time for me to amble on home kids – Later Fliegs ;)

Yo K-Bo, If you send me the database, I can create a quickie (the old standby HaHa) report listing the names and "ricker years" (if included) of the paid respondants, so you can cut and paste it on the forum board (hell I'll do it myself). Darlin' need the "base" and it's okay if it's not perfectly current. Let me do what I do - ;) Fliegs

Hello out there in Rickerland! I just received an e-mail from Angie Graves (thank you Angie for all the hotel info). I found something she said a bit disheartening.... She said she has spoken with people from various classes that say they won't attend the reunion because they don't know the people that are writing in the "Guestbook"!! I have about 150 paid returns NONE HAVE EVER WRITTEN IN THE GUESTBOOK!! Do not let that sway your decision. If you want to know who is going write and ask me?? This is going to be an awesome time "for everyone"! I have a wonderful idea- - - ATTENTION ALL you lurkers, Please write in the guestbook? Sign your name (e-mail and addresses are not necessary) Just - "I'm there" with your name and class year...will do! PLEASE! Let's get this party rolling? They are not taking my word for it so they must be convinced!!

Yo, it's okay Muff, cause my kids aren't going to be there. You see, I already told them all the things I did when I was young and figured they'd rebel like teenagers are apt to, and do just the opposite. In fact they are completely straight. My daughter joined a convent and my son has applied to the DEA to be a narc. Maybe I over did it? (lol) - Fliegs

Well I can say that I was truly impressed at how both Kimbo and Fliegs, police this web site so quickly. A thousand pardons for the errant email address. The right one will follow. Mr. Fliegal, let's just say that you don't want to start swapping stories to the general public, on my behalf. I have way too much ammo, for you to throw down the gauntlet. Ms. Kimbo, a thirteen year old hottie, is not the kind of persuasion I need to hear, but what the hay, by now, everything I attempted to instill, is either there or it isn't. Will have to see your flyer and see where the dates fall into this years' schedule. We were planning a trip to D.C. and then on to Myrtle Beach to visit the in-laws. Of course the out-laws in Houlton would be preferred. Handsome and Big "O" cooking, who'd of thunk it. "Who made the potato salad", why Mr. Emma did, if you were at Ricker in 74. I also remember botching the blueberry pancakes one morning, and Claire the sweetheart, remedied the situation by taking immediate action, and renamed them Muff Cakes. So they were a little tooooooo blue. Kimbo, when you email me, please... give me Matt's email address. Now if you please, where and what happened to Dino, selling blue jeans in the mid-east was his goal. Swapping heart punches in the upstairs Haskell Hall, over a bathtub full of ice and brewskis, probably caused him early arthritis. The old man doesn't have any arthritis yet, Dino. Pugliese, you vowed to "get me" and I'm disappointed that you had so many opportunities to do so. Mr. Alameida, don't think we forgot about you and Tommy Sousa, the Fall River boys. Which leads to Bimbo and Mr. Prickett, what is going on with them. Obviously this is just fueling itself. I have no doubt that the reunion would be a spectacle to behold, as fulfilling as the one I did make. I remember stirring up the hornets on No. 1 tee, near the green. They caught me in the knees several times, and without a doubt is the reason Seanny kicked my butt. That is my story and I'm sticking to it. Sean, if we both can make it, you are mine!!!! This is fun............

Oh do you know the “Muff”in man? The one who lives in Drury Lane? Yeah, but do you know him like I know him. Haha! Muff! There isn’t enough room on the web site server do relate all the whacked out things we did in - and to - that poor house in Franklin. Maybe we didn’t help the resale value of that house, but the neighbors took up a collection to buy us out! Dude, you’ll just have to come up to the reunion so we can laugh like madmen once again. I promise not to blab in front of your daughter since she’s at that age where she, with a little encouragement, could wreak some real havoc. Believe me, I went through it with mine. Speaking of mine, I had the BEST Christmas ever! Both kids spent the holidays with me for the first time in about five years. After all the regular family parties and dinners (our family can pound them down and we did a lot of sleeping over each others houses) my kids found their way back to my house the day after Christmas. We had a blast, especially when my mom and sister’s family left. It was just me, Bobby, Shanna and her boyfriend Brian who (Ross will love this) decided to teach us how to play cribbage (heh, heh, Bobby and I smoked them). I thought it was kind of neat that Bobby (the big college man) was now drinking beers with us, until I realized how fast we were going through them! We played on until the wee hours in the morning (we finally crashed after five) when the brew supply was wearing thin. That’s when the boys started circling my bar like a couple of buzzards. What’s this…absinthe…they couldn’t even pronounce it, but the "110 proof" caught their eye. Shanna starts in, “Oh no dad, that’s stuffs an illegal hallucinogenic, made of wormwood…yada yada. It can cause mental derangement and become addicting.” I said this is an absinthe substitute and is not what was originally sold as absinthe. It’s really okay. It struck me funny the way the boys weren’t saying anything and just looking to her for guidance. I said, “What’s it going to be Shanna…this stuff is expensive ($35.00 per bottle); do I open it or not?” With a wry grin she says, “What the hell.” We all started cracking up. I made everyone an absinthe cocktail and cranked up the tunes. The rest of the night was spent singing and dancing. All I could think of was that I’ve been here before, but it was a long time ago in a small house in Franklin. – Later Fliegs ;)

HE LIVES! Muff, I just sent you an e-mail and it came back undeliverable?? I want to send you a flyer (even) if you "claim" that you can't come! It will wet your appetite - canoe races, golf tournaments, cookouts run by Matt and Handsome.......... You don't know what you're missing. Besides, I am bringing my 13 year old son (a total hottie) to help set up. Amy would have someone to hang with???????? What do you say bud? e-mail me your mailing address so I can update you in the Ricker Database. Sorry to hear about your dad.

Hello to all of you wonderful Ricker Alumni. I have been neglilgent in visiting this website, and perhaps adding a little color to it. After reading the latest entries, it is good to see that there are many carrying the torch. I can tell you I especially enjoy Mr. Fliegals' entries. Some of them remind me of the times when we wallpapered our kitchen in beer cans, (Sparta N.J.)when his mother was gracious enough to rent us a house she had listed for sale. I don't think we did much to promote the sale of that property. I too, have been battling the KLEZ worm. After downloading www.grisoft.com a free antivirus program, I seem to be free of that fiasco. Kimbo, where do you find the energy to organize the reunion? Hats off to you for your efforts. Unfortunately, as much as I would like to tee it up with all comers, I will not be able to make it to the reunion. That doesn't mean I can't initiate a little email correspondence from those that will be inclined to email me. Where is the big "O". I would like to know!!!! Angiolo, Partington, Sanchez, Gomer, Dolomont, McGee, All TEP boys, yeah you too Smokey, consider this a challenge to the first email, seeing as you will be provided my email address at the end of my babbling. Briefly, we moved to Wisconsin in 97. We being, my family, lovely wife Mickey (originally from Albany N.Y.), and my thirteen year old daughter, Amy. Amy is into synchronized swimming, I'm into running my boat on Lake Michigan catching King Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Coho Salmon, and Brown Trout. I live a stone's throw from the lake. I made it back to Maine twice last year, the second time, unfortunately for my dad's passing in August. Well I don't want to overstay my welcome or bore too many people, so I wish you all a great New Year, and look forward to hearing from any/all of you.

Me again..............I have this huge display board that I had for my sons Science Fair project and am mounting pictures that have been sent to me on it!! It is "way cool"! So, don't forget to bring or send pictures for our board. Not sure what to do with it after the reunion? Maybe give the pictures to this website for all to see? Or as a prize for something? What do you think? I AM ANXIOUSLY awaiting the arrival of Reunion forms..............I live for my daily run to the Post Office....haha Not really but it does brighten my day!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. We're in the middle of another Nor'easter here on the NJ coast. This is the third or fourth since September. There was a slight dusting of the cold white stuff around midnight, but the wind blew it all away. However, as anyone in NJ will tell you, you can't be sure what will come next. Ed Colton

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL! ~ I have been swamped with events of the season but intend to get back to reunion biz by this weekend. Many flyers came back "address unknown!" And those are names I've seen on the website recently! If you didn't get a flyer - send me your address! I would like to report over 100 returns already. Also about 100 e-mails asking for a flyer? ...Bev Malloy will receive a prize for the quickest response! "Way to go Lady"! Dr. Shakir didn't like my purple paper so all future correspondence will have to be black and white. In any event, I am still alive and well just overwhelmed with work and the holidays. My 3 sons are huge into basketball and T'is the season for that as well. I hope to call a meeting of the reunion committee on the second weekend in January (mark your clanders). If anyone has any questions, concerns or complaints please forward them to me? Owen & Muff, I got your flyers back "address unknown". Whats up wit dat? I have received many e-mail from folks concerned that this was a reunion for the mid to late 70's crowd. The majority of returns I have received so far are from 60's and early 70's!!!! These folks know how to party!! I'm sitting with them! I wish you all the Merriest Christmas and Happiest New Year ever! God Bless........Lots of Love, Kimbo
